The power of Wordpress - Part 3

This is the last article in this series for the installation and configuration of WordPress.

Once you've installed Wordpress, you are ready to begin setting up the site.

Once you choose a theme and downloaded, just unzip the theme folder and upload / public_html / wp-content / themes. Then log into your Dashboard, go to the design themes> and click on the active theme. You can click one of the themes that seemthem the active theme.

Plugins you want on your site to be downloaded, unzipped and uploaded to / public_html / wp-content / plugins. Then go to your dashboard, go to plugins, and click the link to activate to enable all plugins want to be active on your site. Remember that you can download the plugin to WordPress.org / extend / plugins /

Go to Settings and fill in information about your site details. These elements are quite obvious.

Go to page> for writingStart adding pages to your site. While editing a page to change the home page to determine how it will appear in the menu. Remember, the page title has become a link in the menu. The board should give you a list of the widget widget and a list of sidebars and other areas whereWidgets can be placed, and just drag and drop the widgets you want in the areas you want them in. You can then edit each widget so that the display as you want.

Search engine optimization ...

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) refers to optimize the ranking of your website. Many books have been written about SEO and websites are dedicated.

Out of the box, WordPress is SEO friendly. Puts important information at the right place by default, as long as they enter the correct information in the settings of your dashboard, you have a good start in the search engine rankings.
