8 Important Tips For Blog Marketing Beginners

If you are reading this you are either thinking about getting into blog marketing or you have already done so. Either way I think you will find this article very helpful. Something that you should keep in mind is that marketing with a blog is very effective and fairly easy. However it is going to require that you stay dedicated to your long term goal by being consistent with your posting.

There is no doubt that one of the biggest problems with blogging and this is especially true for someone who is new is that they create their blog write and put up their first post and then never come back and update it again. Trust me I had done this many times in the past.

So if you can actually stay consistent with creating new post hopefully on a daily basis for your site and then follow the tips I am about to give you then it won't take you very long to start making money with your blog.

Here are some tips that will help you with getting your blog noticed and so that you can gain followers who in turn will become customers of your internet marketing business.

1. First and foremost you are going to want to be Google friendly. Google loves blogs because of the fact that they are if done right updated on a fairly regular basis. So a must for all bloggers is that you should create a Google account and submit a sitemap. By doing this you are letting Google know how often your site has been updated and of any new changes made to it. So essentially your site will be indexed by Google faster which means your site will appear faster as well into any searches relevant to your site.

2. Have a track back feature on your blog. This will allow other sites to link to your blog. If you have chosen a good marketing niche there will be other blogs set up on whatever niche it is that you are in. So imagine for a moment that you made a very interesting post on your blog and another site owner liked it so they talked a little bit about whatever the topic is and then told their readers if they would like to read more about it to click on the link that will take them to your site. Keep in mind that if they give you a track back then it is courteous to return the favor. Also remember that part of Google's search algorithm is both incoming and outgoing links.

3. Exchange links especially with authority blogs that have been around for a while and most likely have a lot of followers. Google whatever niche you are in and find the blogs have a good page rank. Then contact the owner of the site and see if they would be willing to exchange links with you. Some of you may feel uncomfortable doing this so it is important to keep in mind that it is always a no unless you ask. More often than not they will be more than happy to exchange links but if for some reason they are not you may want add their site to your blogroll. You will not need their permission for this.

4. Keep track of your blog such as tracking where you visitors to your blog are coming from. This will include keep track of what keywords they used to find your blog. By doing this you will learn which keywords are not working and the ones that are working.

5. Keep your post formatted so that you will essentially have everything organized for the search engines. There is a reason the label tags are there so you use them.

6. Allow RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds from your blog. This is one of the most powerful ways to get visitors to your new site. This will allow other sites to put your content on their page with a link back to yours. Basically it will allow other site owners that subscribe to your blog to post your post on their site. This means of course that they will then have a link on their site automatically back to yours.

7. Learn how to autoblog. This kind of goes back to what I mention earlier. Sometimes it is hard to create new content for your site everyday which is something that anyone who is wanting to grow readership of their blog will have to do. Keep in mind you want your readers to come back everyday so that you will build up a relationship with them as well as be able to put whatever product you are promoting in front of them.

If you are not familiar with auto blogging then I will give you a brief explanation. Basically you will have the ability to get other peoples post that are relevant to your niche automatically posted to your blog without you having to do anything other than the initial setup. Once you learn this technique you will be able to have the other sites content posted at certain times of day to yours even on a daily basis if you like.

Keep in mind that this could be only once a day or even more if you like. Even if you are able to create new and interesting content for your site there is nothing wrong with adding even more. There are several programs and or software out there on how to do auto blogging. Trust me it is well worth the investment.

8. Be patient while your site is building a readership. I know how frustrating it can be during the early stages of blog marketing when your site has few to no visitors. But if you take the tips I have given you here and implement them and stick with it even when there is no one visiting your site you will eventually begin to see your internet marketing business and income grow right before your eyes.
